Yard Debris Composting: Grass, Leaves, and Branches

Curbside yard debris composting is available to Meridian residents. Service includes a separate 95-gallon yard debris cart for an additional fee of $9.52 per month.

During the spring and fall, the cart can be filled with yard debris, such as grass, leaves, and branches. During the winter months, the cart can be used as an extra trash cart.

Material Collection Timeframes

• Yard Debris: Until November 30, 2024
• Additional Trash: December 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025
• April 1, 2025, will be the start of year-round yard debris collection*

* Starting April 1, 2025, yard debris collection (i.e., grass, branches and leaves) in your subscription cart will be available year-round. This means that NO trash will be accepted in these carts after April 1.

Material Guidelines for April through November

Accepted*

• Grass clippings
• Leaves
• Branches, please cut to fit loosely in cart

Not Accepted

• Food scraps
• Pet waste
• Plastic bags
• Trash of any kind

* Yard debris collected from April through November is composted by Timber Creek Recycling.
