Celebrate National Community Development Week 2025!

Theme: Home Feels Like Belonging

Join us April 21-25, 2025, as we celebrate National Community Development (CD) Week by highlighting the impact of the Meridian Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. We’ll highlight past and current projects that support local housing, essential services, and neighborhood improvements. We welcome your stories of how CDBG has impacted you.

There will be a presentation during the April 22, 2025 City Council meeting where we will cover our most recent CDBG-funded projects and recognize the winners of the CDBG Sticker Design Contest! See below for more information.

Sticker Design Competition

As part of the National Community Development Week, we’re inviting Meridian residents of all ages to participate in our Sticker Design Competition, which runs from March 1, 2025 through noon on April 11, 2025.

The city must receive a completed entry form along with the design(s) to be considered an official entry. Please follow the competition guidelines below to submit your entry.

Recognition & Official Stickers

  • One winning design will be selected from each category.
  • Winners will be recognized at the April 22 Council Meeting during Community Development Week.
  • The four winning designs will become the Meridian CDBG program’s official community stickers for the next year, available at events and public engagements.

Please Note: The final stickers will include city branding and program-related information. While we will make every effort to avoid altering submitted artwork, small portions may be covered.
