The City of Meridian Clerk’s office is an acceptance facility for passport applications. We process DS-11 new passport applications by appointment only on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. After processing the initial portion of your application, we mail your application and supporting documentation to the U.S. State Department, which will finalize the passport processing procedure. Adult DS-82 renewal applicants can have their self-mail forms reviewed by an agent during a family member’s DS-11 appointment.

If you are unsure which form you should complete, please visit the passport forms information page for more information.

We accept passport applications by appointment only between the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Passport services are provided in English. Should you need an interpreter, you must arrange to have your own interpreter either in person or by phone.

Passport fees are only payable by check, money order or cashier’s check. The U.S. State Department is unable to accept cash or credit/debit card.

Each individual applying for a passport must be present at the appointment, including children. Children under the age of 16 must have consent from both parents. If only one parent is able to appear, a notarized consent form, DS-3053 is required in place of that absent parent. We highly recommend you visit the passport documentation requirements on travel.state.gov.for all the required documents you might need for your appointment.

To schedule a passport appointment, you may select one of the appointment types below to view our calendar and book an appointment. For more information regarding passports you can call 208-489-0387 to request a callback.

IF YOU DO NOT SEE AVAILABLE APPOINTMENTS, THAT MEANS THERE ARE NO OPENINGS AT THIS TIME. CHECK THE WEBSITE ANOTHER TIME. APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT BOOKED MORE THAN THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
