MERIDIAN, ID – A new art show titled “Midnight Metaphor” will open on Tuesday, December 3, in the Initial Point Gallery with an Artist Reception from 4:30-7:00 p.m. The new exhibit will display diverse artworks by thirty local artists from the Treasure Valley Artists’ Alliance (TVAA). “We are excited to showcase the work of our talented TVAA artist members at Initial Point Gallery,” says TVAA curator Claire Remsberg. “The work in this exhibit showcases work by TVAA artists exploring deep shades of blue, its references and symbolism, shades and contrasts. There will be thirty-nine wall pieces, plus ceramics, glass and jewelry.”
In addition to the opening reception, the gallery will host an arts panel discussion on January 7 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Initial Point Gallery. TVAA President Leslie Jay Bosch says the panel discussion “is a way for artists to learn more about framing, presentation, applying to opportunities, and to find out more about our organization, which is always open to new artist members.”
Initial Point Gallery, the opening reception, and the panel discussion are open to the public and free to attend. The gallery is located on the third floor of Meridian City Hall and is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. This exhibit will remain on display through Friday, January 31, 2025.
